Just as I argued in this post. Blackwater often did jobs the CIA/JSOC were hesitant to do.

“”””””””””But the most noteworthy thing about the largely failed prosecution wasn’t the outcome. It was the tens of thousands of pages of documents—some declassified—that the litigation left in its wake. These documents illuminate Blackwater’s defense strategy—and it’s a fascinating one: To defeat the charges it was facing, Blackwater built a case not only that it worked with the CIA—which was already widely known—but that it was in many ways an extension of the Agency itself.””””””””

“””But according to the documents Blackwater submitted in its defense—as well as an email exchange I had recently with Prince—the contractor’s relationship with the CIA was far deeper than most observers thought. “Blackwater’s work with the CIA began when we provided specialized instructors and facilities that the Agency lacked,” Prince told me recently, in response to written questions. “In the years that followed, the company became a virtual extension of the CIA because we were asked time and again to carry out dangerous missions, which the Agency either could not or would not do in-house.”

This does not surprise me whatsoever.. and to some extent I predicted it.

  1. I came to your “Map or Infographic of the day plus update on Blackwater. Plus two interesting pdf&” page and noticed you could have a lot more traffic. I have found that the key to running a website is making sure the visitors you are getting are interested in your subject matter. There is a company that you can get traffic from and they let you try it for free. I managed to get over 300 targetted visitors to day to my website. Check it out here: http://bag.sh/16M

  3. I don’t drop a comment, however after reading a few of the comments on this page Map or Infographic of the day plus update on Blackwater. Plus two interesting pdfs. | drakeequation. I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind. Could it be just me or does it look as if like a few of the responses look as if they are coming from brain dead people? 😛 And, if you are posting at additional online sites, I would like to keep up with everything new you have to post. Would you make a list of the complete urls of your social pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

    1. Hello there.. Thanks for the comment. I wondered about quite a few of the comments I have received. More than half the people who visit the blog are from outside of the US. I am not sure if it is language barrier or something a little more devious. I never expected anyone would visit the blog of care what I thought or researched. I do have a Facebook page and just post articles I find interesting. I try and be neutral with my posts here and stick with mostly facts and not really opinion. I do not have any agenda. My Facebook page does include my opinion and I have the privacy settings set to private only friends can view. If you are really interested I will give you the link and approve any friends request. My twitter account I really do not post much on to be honest. There should be a link on the archive page but my handle is @dgarnold. If you want feel free to email me. Dgeoffreyarnold@me.com. Take care. Thanks for viewing the blog and comment.
